New k-dramas premiering in July 2024

The second half of the year kicks off with a diverse line-up of shows featuring some of our favorite actors, ranging from romance and office dramas, to crime and suspense thrillers. Which ones are you planning to watch?

July 3: Red Swan


Red Swan blends romance, drama, and action, focusing on a world-class golfer, renowned fundraiser and daughter-in-law of the Hwain Group. The drama starts when she develops feelings for her new bodyguard, a man who joined the Hwain Group with a secret agenda. The 10-episode series stars Kim Ha-neul (Kill Heel) and Rain (Ghost Doctor), promising a thrilling mix of personal and professional stakes.

July 6: The Auditors


This office action drama on tvN boasts a powerful cast. The Auditors follows a ruthless audit team leader, played by Shin Ha-kyun (Beyond Evil), and an enthusiastic young employee, Lee Jung-ha (Moving), as they dig into deep-seated corruption within their company, JU Construction. The 12-episode drama also stars Jin Goo (Descendants of the Sun) and Jo A-ram (Doctor Cha), who bring this high-stakes corporate battle to life. Where to watch: Viu


July 12: Good Partner


Jang Na-ra (Sell Your Haunted House) plays a veteran star divorce lawyer who is dealing with her own divorce issues at home while clashing with a bright-eyed rookie lawyer (Nam Ji-hyun, Little Women) at work. The 12-episode legal drama will pit the two contrasting lawyers against each other in the arena of divorce law.

July 19: Sweet Home 3


Returning for its third season on Netflix, Sweet Home 3 continues the gripping saga of a dystopian world where humans transform into savage creatures. Song Kang reprises his role, navigating the monster-infested landscape as he battles for survival and humanity's redemption. The Sweet Home series is known for its intense action, deep emotional layers, and stunning visual effects — do you think the third installment will be as good or better than the previous ones?

July 22: Serendipity’s Embrace


What would you do if you met your first love from 10 years ago? Serendipity’s Embrace is an eight-episode poetic exploration of fate and connections. Starring Kim So-hyun (Love Alarm) and Chae Jong-hyeop (Castaway Diva), this drama follows the intertwining lives of individuals who, through a series of serendipitous events, come to examine their relationships, dreams, and the paths they choose.

July 26: Wonderland


Wonderland is a sci-fi dramatic film that explores the emotional depths of human connections through a virtual platform. Advanced AI technology allows people to reunite with their loved ones who are deceased or comatose via video calls, creating a poignant narrative about love, loss, and the human desire for closure. With a star-studded cast including Bae Suzy (Anna), Park Bo-gum (Love in the Moonlight), Tang Wei (Late Autumn), Choi Woo-shik (Our Beloved Summer), and Jung Yu-mi (Youn's Stay), and a cameo by Gong Yoo (Train to Busan), Wonderland promises a heart-wrenching yet thought-provoking cinematic experience.

July 31: No Way Out: The Roulette


This crime thriller throws viewers into a deadly game where the release of a notorious criminal, played by Yoo Jae-myung (Itaewon Class), triggers a public bounty of 20 billion won for his assassination. Cho Jin-woong (Signal) will star as a detective tasked with protecting the criminal from a frenzy of citizens turned bounty hunters, while Kim Moo-yul (Sweet Home 2) plays the lawyer hired to aid the ex-convict. Meanwhile, Lee Kwang-soo (The Killer’s Shopping List) plays a butcher who sees the bounty as a chance to recover his lost finances.
