If you've been feeling that 2025 is kind of a slow year for k-dramas, maybe this October's line-up will change your mind. From long-awaited reunion projects (Genie, Make a Wish) to inspiring and heartfelt workplace dramas (Typhoon Family, The Dream Life of Mr. Kim) and soul-swapping historical comedies (Moon River), this month has a lot in store.

OCTOBER 3: Genie, Make a Wish
Nine years after breaking hearts in “Uncontrollably Fond,” Kim Woo-bin and Bae Suzy (Anna) finally gift fans with a reunion project… and this time, it’s a fantasy romcom! In “Genie, Make a Wish,” Kim Woo-bin plays Iblis, a long dormant genie who is awakened to grant three wishes to the emotionless Ki Ka-young. Expect laughter as the ancient genie navigates modern Seoul, and of course, some romance from this beloved kdrama duo.
Penned by Kim Eun-sook (“The Glory,” “Goblin”), “Genie, Make a Wish” co-stars Ahn Eun-jin and Noh Sang-hyun.

OCTOBER 10: Would You Marry Me?
Designer Yoo Me-ri (Jung So-min) has just won a 5 billion won luxury house for newlyweds! The catch? She caught Kim Woo-ju (Seo Bum-June), her fiance—and the man she’s supposed to claim it with—cheating on her, and their engagement is off. She conveniently meets a bakery heir also named Kim Woo-ju (Choi Woo-shik, Melo Movie), and proposes a 90-day contract marriage in order to claim the prize. Will their fake marriage lead to true romance?

OCTOBER 11: Typhoon Family
Set during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, Typhoon Family tells the story of Kang Tae-poong (Lee Jun-ho, The Red Sleeve) as he struggles to save his family business, the Typhoon Trading Company, from bankruptcy. Once carefree and immature, he steps into the CEO role upon his father’s passing. Helping him are the company’s dedicated staff, including diligent and ambitious bookkeeper Oh Mi-sun (Kim Min-ha).

OCTOBER 25: The Dream Life of Mr. Kim /The Story of Manager Kim, Who Owns His Home and Works for a Large Company in Seoul
Ryu Seuong-ryong (Moving) headlines this workplace drama about Kim Nak-su, a middle-aged corporate executive whose life and self-worth revolves around work. He thinks he has everything: a stable job, his dream house, and a guaranteed promotion– until a younger colleague starts to outshine and overtake him. Based on a hit webtoon, “The Dream Life of Mr. Kim” takes us through Nak-su’s journey of self-discovery as he starts to question what really matters in life.

OCTOBER 29: Spirit Fingers
Adapted from a webtoon of the same name, this youth drama takes us into the life of
Song Woo-yeon (Park Ji-hu, Little Women), a highschool student who feels unloved at home. Her world becomes more colorful when she joins “Spirit Fingers,” her school’s drawing club. Led by its charismatic president Nam Gi-jung (Cho Jun-young), the club helps Woo-yeon heal and blossom.

OCTOBER 31: Moon River
Who doesn’t love a good bodyswap comedy? In “Moon River,” the life of wild and unruly crown prince Yi Kang (Kang Tae-oh) gets turned upside down when he mysteriously switches bodies with Park Dal-i (Kim Se-jong), a clever traveling merchant who resembles his recently-deceased crown princess.
